THE REPAIR MAN

I played this on Newgrounds, good stuff! I'll definitely check it out again and fully enjoy it when i'm not so busy

i played the demo with a controller, it was mostly fun. i do have a few criticisms though.

when you climb a ladder and hold down, you stay in your climbing phase even when you've touched the ground, you have to jump to get off the ladder. this makes it difficult to get off it easily when a mosquito is chasing you.

also about ladders, when you just into a ladder from below, the repair man stands in the ladder instead of climbing it, which looks odd.

the slopes could use some work too,  climbing up them is slow (which is probably intended) and going down them is inconsistent because you walk and then fall and then walk and then fall and then walk...

the phone doesn't seem that useful, it just shows you where the item is without letting you zoom out to *actually* see where it is.

speaking of zoom, i practically have to keep the "zoom out" button held the entire game to see everything around me. maybe by using the left and right triggers you would be able to zoom in and out without having to keep the button held? (and maybe instead of a "zoomed out" and "zoomed in" mode just have the zoom be gradual?) 

you can do other things (like walking, jumping etc) while holding the y button (posing) which looks strange, but i think you should keep it XD.

when you jump into the exit door you stand mid-air as the level ends.

and the character dialogue is... eh... "oh by the way i heard that ITEM does ACTION, but idkkk" is used twice. and people telling the repair man how useful they are and how much they love them is also "eh."

so, overall, i quite liked this demo. a lot of what i said was most likely because this is an early version, so keep it up! the movement itself was actually really fun and i love the concept and artstyle! the music does hurt the ears at times (sometimes it's just a few notes in rapid succession for a bit) but other than those few seconds it sounds great! hope to see more of this game
